Hello, I am Dr. R. Coranne Johnson. Welcome to
RCJ Psycho-Educational Services’ website.
I am a registered psychologist licensed to practise clinical/counselling and educational/school psychology in the province of Alberta. In my practice, I specialize in evaluation and intervention services for children with a variety of behavioral, emotional, and learning problems. I offer a full range of psychological and psycho-educational assessments, consultations to parents and teachers, and counselling for children and adolescents. Based on a thorough evaluation, I might choose to address a child's issues through cognitive-behavioural therapy, play therapy, solution-focused approach or psycho-educational strategies.
RCJ Psycho-Educational Services is a child psychology practice that concentrates exclusively on helping children live happy and healthy lives. The goal of my service is to empower parents and/or schools with an understanding of the child’s strengths and struggles. Then as a team we discuss and develop a responsive plan on how to move forward and assist the child use his/her strengths to respond or cope with his/her areas of need.
Finding a child psychologist that can help you and your child is sometimes a difficult process. This website was created to provide you with an understanding of my practice and how working with me may be of assistance to your family.
In addition, on this website you will find a collection of resource information – books, websites – that reflect common areas of focus in my practice. Please feel free to search the website and read through the information provided. If you would like to find out more information or set up an appointment please call me for a complementary 15-minute phone consultation.
